April 7- April 14, 2016

Spring Break Week

April 7, 2016 - Here is a shot of the progress on the shop addition.

Bill also built me a grape vine trellis.  Here is working on the dimensions.

Alyce brought a slip and slide and then helped the kids make it even better and longer by adding a blue tarp to the bottom of it.

Where there are kittens... there are also lots of picture to be taken.
This is Teak - he loves to snuggle and climbed right up on my arm and nestled in and then fell asleep.

The Russells came to spend one of their days of Spring Break with us. The day was nice and hot and the kids and grandma Alyce managed to extend the slip and slide even more.

This is Ash -- after meeting all the kittens, he is the one that the Russell's want to adopt in a couple weeks when they are old enough to leave their momma.

Dantley helped me re-stain the front deck, he also helped carry some t-posts for Granpa as he was working on my Grape trellis.

We had a cookout and also tried burning some of the old corn stalks from last year.  They didn't burn very well, so we will have to get some wood to add to it and try again later.

Game night to end the day.

April 10, 2016
Alyce and Bill made a scavenger hunt for Thurston and Natasha to find their birthday presents.

Thurston was pretty excited to get this fancy pocket knife.

Natasha got this fawn rock that grandma Alyce painted for her.

Sometimes we have a little too much fun with the filters on snapchat.

SO many kitten pics (and believe me... I delete more than half of them)

It is a tradition in our family for each of the kids to get a pet on their 9th birthday.  So, Thurston gets to choose one of the kittens to keep.  It is a very tough decision, but he has it narrowed down to Hawthorne or Hickory.

April 12, 2016
A little T-ball action for Dantley.  I have to admit these games are long and not the most exciting.  His team all runs and dog piles on the ball when it is hit.  Dantley just stares at everyone wondering why they are doing that.  He seems to think if the ball doesn't hit him in the feet he shouldn't get it.

Jake is going up to Kent to interview with Best Friends -- it is a vet and pet boarding company.  He woke up in the night with the thought he should take a picture of the dogs and it turned out they asked him in his interview if he had a picture of his dogs.  This is a crappy picture, but at least he had one

Glad the doll house is getting some good use.

April 14, 2016 - Dantley finally got to use his free lemonade token!  He got it a few months ago and asks me all the time if we can stop at Burgerville - so today I consented.

Kittens are almost ready to go to new homes, so I'm taking pictures to post when I put them up for adoption.
