He took Katie and Natasha down to see it when we were finished.
March 25, 2016 - Dantley and I went into Tamsyn's class to teach art. I taught the same lesson that I used in Thurston's class, but instead of three animals, had the 5th graders make 5. Dantley sat next to Tamsyn and did the project too. He did just as well as some of the kids in the class!
Today was also the day of my CT scan and I had to drink this horrible stuff. Happily the results came back that the lesion in my liver is benign.
Ally England came over and helped us paint Dantley's new fort. We did camouflage style so the bright white would not be so obvious.
They also had fun with the pocket size kittens.
March 26, 2016 - Holly and Meagan organized a 5K fundraiser at Lewisville Park for their friend Sharesa. Sharesa has 5 small children and after her 5th was born a few months ago she started having some severe health problems and they found cancer. It was nice to see all of the families that came out to run to support her. Sharesa was there to say "On your marks, get set, GO!
All the kids did a good job running. Dantley ran with me and had to be coaxed along as he hasn't been running much lately. He knew he had to finish fast if we were going to have time to get to the La Center Easter egg hunt.
After the race we jetted back to La Center. We made it there just as the Easter Egg hunt was beginning. Dantley missed the first few seconds, but jumped in in time to get a few eggs.
Some kitten cuteness for the day!
This was a packed day -- Thurston also had a baseball game and I took my new lens to see if I could get some good pics.
Thurston got a cleat to the face in this play
This photo isn't Thurston, but I thought it was a fun picture since you can see him sliding under the ball. Thurston told me the kid sliding is Conrad.
That evening we colored our Easter eggs -- We used some of our different colored fresh chicken eggs and that made the colors darker and richer.
Kitten cuddles
Easter Sunday - March 27, 2016
It appears I didn't take any pictures on Easter... except for the ones below of the kittens. The kids all got an Easter basket and a book this year. Jake took time each night the past week telling the kids what happened that day leading up to the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of the Savior.
He also spoke in church about the events.
