Super Bowl 50

February 7, 2016 - I honestly like getting together with the Russell's and the yummy food we eat (pork barbacoa) every year way better than I like football.  A few months have passed since the super bowl actually happened and I even had to look up what two teams played this year.  It was the Carolina Panthers vs. the Denver Broncos and the Broncos won 24-10.

The kids watched quite a bit of the game and played too.  Natasha was a bit out of it, because she had fallen and hit her head on the granite counter top the day before.  It was kind of crazy, Dantley was running in circles around the kitchen island and she stepped out to scoop him up, but lost her footing backing up and tripped backwards.  The back of her head hit the corner and she went down.  I didn't realize she fell, but heard the crash and thought it was just Dantley and half of the barstools crashing to the floor.  A minute later Tasha crawled out and seemed kind of incoherent.  That worried me, because I didn't know if she had been knocked out or what.  She said she sort of forgot what happened right afterwards and she had an enormous headache for the rest of the day.  The day after when the Russell's were there they noticed that she wasn't quite herself, so we decided to take her to the Dr. the next day to see if she had a concussion.  He said she had a mild concussion and should sit out of soccer for the next week or so.

She kind of latched on to Thurston.  It was super cute.
