League Championships were at Vancouver Lake -- this is the third time the team has run here this season (although the course was slightly different once).
This meet helps decide who goes on to run at districts and state.
In the above photo you can see Hailey (from White Salmon) right next to Tasha. It was obvious that the race was between those two. Hailey had beat Natasha here earlier in the season, but the last time they raced Natasha won. Hailey stayed right with Natasha until about 1.5 miles when she suddenly shrieked and went down with some sort of calf injury. I think it kind of threw Natasha off but she kept on running and got first with a good time under 20 minutes.
Her coach from Flanagan clan sent her this card in the mail, and she put it up on her bulletin board. He is so good about supporting his runners.
